The Macalester-Groveland Living at Home/Block Nurse Program has a strong volunteer heritage. It was founded in 1987 through a grassroots effort by area residents and community leaders to meet the changing needs of seniors in the community. In 1994 nursing services were added to the resources available.

Macalester-Groveland LAH/BNP brings our neighborhood health care professionals and volunteers together to provide services for adults age 65 and older. The LAH/BNP serves seniors in the community of Macalester Groveland. As a neighborhood based program we provide services which enable our elders to live in their own homes for as long as possible and to delay or avoid placement in nursing homes.
